Eid Ul Fitr means “ The End of Fasting Month Ramadam”. Eid Ul Fitr is celebrated on the first day of shawwal. The date of Eid Ul Fitr is decided on the sightining of the new moon of shawwal. On this days Muslims from all over the world enjoy with their heart. Muslims perform special eid prayers and listen to khutba in large mosques and wide halls usually in the form of gatherings. Eid Ul Fitr is celebrated for three days. In Muslim countries there are special holidays for Eid Ul fitr celebrated with lots of joy and happiness.
Salat al Eid or Eid prayers or Salat al Eidain is a particular prayer offered to commemorate Islamic Festival of Eid Ul Fitr. Eid Prayers are performed on two Festivals such as:
- Eid Al fitr. (First Islamic Festival)
- Eid Al Adha. (Second Islamic Festival)
Importance Of Eid Al Fitr Prayer or Salat:
The importance of Eid prayer is interpreted by different scholars differently. According to Hanafi Scholars Eid Prayer is Wajib. Wajib means necessary or mandatory. According to Maliki and shafi scholers its Sunnah Al Mu kkadah. Eid prayers are considered as Fard by Hanbali Scholars. Different scholars have different views about Eid prayers some says it fard al ayn while other says its fard al kifaya.
Eid ul Fitr Namaz/Prayer/Salat Timing For Eid Ul Fitr 2018:
The time of Eid prayer begins with the time when sun reaches two meters above the horizon until it reaches its meridian before Zuhr. According to Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) the time for Eid al Fitr is delayed for the purpose of distribution of fitrah before the Eid ul Fitr prayer. This Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad has been proved and recorded in many Hadith books.’
